Check that the air filter is not dirty and replace if necessary. |

Check the batteries in the thermostat. |

Check that the room thermostat temperature selector is set below the house temperature as indicated on the thermostat, and that the system is in the "COOL" position |

Check that there are no blockages in the return-air or supply-air grill. |
| · |
Make sure that furniture, boxes, etc. are not obstructing air flow. |

Check the blower access panel. It must be firmly in place for the unit to operate. |

Check that the outdoor unit power is "ON". |
| · |
Check the circuit breaker panel for a tripped breaker. |
