Duct Cleaning
When cleaning your duct system it is very important to clean the evaporator
coil (indoor cooling coil), this keeps the dirt from entering your duct, and
also keeps your system running efficiently.

These are the before and after pictures of the evaporator coil.
When your system is running the air flows through this coil, you can see why it
is important to have these cleaned along with your duct system.
These are the before and after pictures of the blower motor that
operates the fan in your heating and cooling system. If these are not kept
clean your system will have to work harder, therefore it will not be as
efficient and may cause premature failure of parts.
Does your ductwork need cleaning?
Look at some of the registers or grills around your home
or work area. Check for particles of black dirt in them, especially on the
return air grills. Check for dust and dirt around your work area and on
top of tall cabinets and desks. If you notice more than trace amounts,
your ventilation system is passing bad air and needs a thorough cleaning.
The indoor air quality of a home or business may be so
poor that health problems such as allergies, asthma or other breathing disorders
can be magnified. Not only can this be a health concern, but it also leads
to low productivity in the work place.
Many people have allergic reactions to pollen, bacteria,
dust mites and mold. These particles, along with invisible pollutant,
settle in the air ducts and are re-circulated every time the furnace blower is
operating. Cleaning and disinfecting your duct work not only eliminates
most contaminants but also can improve the efficiency of your air conditioner
and furnace by improving air flow.
Airborne contaminants are drawn through the duct work of the central
air conditioning system via return air registers. Standard, throw-away
fiberglass filters remove less than 7% of the particles, which means much of the
rest settles in your air ducts.
Now acknowledged as a major allergy and disease causing problem by
leading medical authorities, poor indoor air quality has prompted doctors and
allergists to commonly prescribe furnace and air duct cleaning as a remedy.
If you question the need for air duct cleaning, take a look behind the
return air grills in the HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning)
system of your home. Many people have found the one glimpse into the air
ducts provide all the evidence they need to initiate a thorough cleansing of the
HVAC system.
